Conchita Singing Her Heart Out!
Since last Wednesday I have tried Paellla and hated it, watched Conchinta (winner of Eurovision) sing live, witnessed an old man farting extremely loud right in front of me, discovered a little gem of a place named Neal's Yard and had a conversation with a heartwarming old man (and no it wasn't the same one that farted right in front of me).  I have to admit it's been a generally boring week and I'm well, generally okay with that seeing as I haven't been paid in a month.  The only reason I'm simply okay with it is because there's always something interesting that happens in London no matter where you are and these are prime examples of interesting things.

My main exciting events however, included the almighty free concert that occurred on Saturday in Trafalgar Square - Pride in London, and the discovery of a somewhat colourful set of buildings.  Pride in London was an event that was said to be packed this year seeing as Britain just brought in the marriage laws for same-sex couples to be able to marry, and my gosh did it go off like a rocket!  I think the parade literally went on for a good three hours, in which I stood with a t-shirt on in the pouring rain.  Only an Australian in London would forget to take their umbrella to a concert (even if it did look like it was going to be sunny the whole day).  The other main "event" that happened this past week was my discovery of tiny part of Covent Garden one lunch at work.  Seeing as I now work in Covent Garden which is essentially the hub of London and well tourist central every single day of the week, I thought I would go on mini explorations every lunch time during work.  Most days I found something interesting, whether it was a new restaurant, a new building, a new street performer or ... a new "pocket" of London!  This little "pocket" that I discovered goes by the name, Neal's Yard.  This little area is a literal explosion of colour.  Every window, every door and every sign had a different colour painted onto it.  Most of the shops were either restaurants or health related stores, and very expensive at that.  Yet, the vibe was so cutesy.  To be quite honest though, I was just wondering around Covent Garden one lunch time looking for a seat (seeing as London never has any of those around) to sit on and that's really when I stumbled upon this little gem.  I think I'll head there for a dinner one day perhaps... anyway Covent Garden is a great place to explore!

Before I disappear after the quick post this was, I have one last thing to discuss with everyone who reads my blog.  My temporary contract with the company that I currently work for has just been extended another two weeks which is fabulous news because now I don't have to go freaking out about not having a job next week.  Also, the temporary work placement that I did previous to this current one has contacted my agency and asked if they could employ me on a full-time basis up until March 2015.  I'm a little hesitant in accepting this contract however it would be nice to have a stable job and house so I can then go about doing what I want to do in the afternoons/weekends.  BUT I also  enjoy the temporary placements as it's rather pleasant learning different types of work each month and I also get the opportunity to explore the areas of each temporary placement.  So, I'm very unsure as to what I would like to do at the moment and I need to have my decisions in tact by tomorrow!

Let the mini freak outs begin!

Hope you've all had a wonderful Wednesday/Thursday.  Make sure you let me know what else you want to see in this blog just by commenting on my posts or sending me a message via email.
