| The London Eye on the most sunny, beautiful day. |
It's that time of the week again, it's hump day! For those of you that know me at all I may have mentioned watching (numerous times) a particular ad on TV while I was travelling through America, by a company named Geico. For those of you that haven't heard me speak of this almighty ad then you seriously need to re-evaluate your life's priorities. I'm only kidding, check out the ad here and let me know how much more joyful your Wednesday/Thursday (sorry, I forget about time zones!) is because of it.
By now you might be wondering why I've got a good ol' picture of the infamous London Eye attached to this blog post. Well, I'll tell you why!
It's because I finally feel as if London is my actual home. No way could I tell you where everything is in this damn city because it's just way too big for that. Actually, thinking about that, I couldn't even tell you where everything is in Brisbane and that's my home town so that really is saying something. I just feel as if it's my home because I don't see things such as The London Eye and "Big Ben" or rather it's real name, the Elizabeth Tower, as exciting sights to see any more. They're just apart of the everyday landscape that occurs around me. I mean, yes I'm exploring new things almost everyday and the experience of living in London is absolutely surreal but it's simply home now or rather something that feels like home. This feeling of home has even been confirmed by my absolute, passionate dislike towards tourists in Leicester Square and Covent Garden, let alone Oxford St. I've even learned the tricks of the trade to not be called out in the streets by those annoying people that hand out flyers to almost every second person who walks past them, and no I'm not telling you what these tricks are. You can enjoy the pestering state of these streetsmen and women yourself (whenever you find yourself venturing around London that is).
Must go now! Work is awaiting my usual data entry help! Hope everyone's Wednesday was as awesome as they hoped it would be. Oh and if you ever find yourself in London, try and not annoy those living here by being terrible tourists. Thanks!
