Bogan Bingo & Choccywoccydoodah

What started out as a casual Friday night doing something completely alternative and weird in London, turned out to be a whole lot of something else!  Once I clocked off at 5 o'clock Friday evening, I headed home with my colleague and friend Emily.  She kindly offered to let me hang around her place, eat dinner and of course she mapped out the directions to my Friday evening event (thanks Emily!).  After scoffing down a delicious old spot ham and buffalo ricotta pizza from Franco Manca pizzeria, I ventured on over to the Clapham Grand nightclub where I was to join in the fun of Bogan Bingo!  My housemate Ashlee had invited me to the said event which essentially involved a lot of Aussie and Kiwi expats drinking a bunch of beer and joking about a bunch of Aussie stuff.

Bogan Bingo/Shitty Disco Event!

Cutting a long night short there were many ink blot fights, men in shorts, mullet wigs and even "pregnant" women drinking alcohol and wearing high cut tops.  Oh and of course, Ipswich was mentioned (the pride I feel for my own home town being named one of the most bogan towns is oh so overwhelming...).  Of course, in all bingo games there were winners.  The prizes up for grabs were bogan themed themselves, which made the game even more hilarious.  The final winner had to get a full house (or rather, three lines full) and well... erm... I WON!  I can't even explain how odd this felt as I am so used to being the most unlucky person ever that I was, well, just a little shocked.  So not only did I win a framed picture of a panda riding a Bogan Bingo go-kart, I also won FIVE free drink tickets... oh and of course, A FREE TRIP TO MOROCCO!!  So, yep.. WOW!  I couldn't even believe it!  Out of the 200 odd people there, I won the entire bingo game.  I think I soaked up all of my father's luck and brought it over to England with me, because there's no way on earth I would normally win an event like this.  Bring on my free holiday in Morocco!

The next day, I was on an absolute high so I took the tube into the city to test out the famous cinnamon buns at the Nordic Bakery in Golden Square just by Piccadilly Circus.  Holy me oh my, this cinnamon bun did not disappoint.  It was the most sugary, cinnamon-y, fresh-out-of-the-oven bun I have ever eaten.  I definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone.  Soon after my cinnamon goodness I strolled on down to Carnaby Street where I had to stop in at Choccywoccydoodah.  For those of you that don't know of this shop, have you been living a non-chocolate life or something!?  For the photographs you're about to see, be ready to begin salivating and "ahhh-ing" in awe because the stuff at this shop is magical and perfect!  Also, for anyone that buys me or makes me a similar birthday chocolate cake for my 21st has immediately won my heart - please and thank you.
