The reason we were there? To see the spectacle of which was created by Paul Cummins (ceramic artist) and Tom Piper (stage designer). The installation named 'Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red' is the most inspiring piece of art to look at. I couldn't get enough of the sheer amount of poppies that were created in order to design this surreal vision. For those of you that are currently in London, I really do recommend that you check it out and for those of you that are planning to visit London soon, you should check it out too! The installation will be on display until Remembrance Day here in England (11th November). Here are some more details in order to understand more about the display. Also, here's a sneak peak of the installation... (oh my, it truly is perfect)
After we were finally finished staring in awe at this piece of art, we headed our separate ways to journey on home. Unfortunately for me, my journey home was delayed horrendously due to there being a fire on one of the trains at London Bridge rail station. Most rail services were delayed and even cancelled but once I did finally get down to the platform and onto a train, I realised I had jumped onto the wrong train. So really, the "madness" part of this title is quite relevant. Anyway, here's a photo of how crowded the station was (this was only on the platform, you should have seen the station itself).
Now, due to the fact that is nearing midnight over here, I should probably rest for my 6am start (yes, I'm still attending the gym if you're keeping up with my activities). Please email me or send through any comments you have regarding my blog. Ideas for photos and activities would be wonderful! Especially if you really would like to see a particular photo of something on my blog. Also, please don't hesitate to let me know if there's anything on my blog that needs fixing. Change is always good! Have a wonderful day everyone and keep on keeping on.
