After my photography course was over, I became slightly worried at the fact that I might be unemployed for quite some time. That's if I don't look around for a permanent job sooner rather than later. Fortunately I am currently listed with an agency that helps to get me temporary work placements (which is how I started work at my previous place of employment).
So a week after my photography course, and after sending in countless applications to random companies for administration work, my agency found me a flashy new job at a world renowned property company. First though, I had to pass an interview process. So I headed on down to my agencies office to receive directions and a little more information on the company and then headed straight off again, on a journey over to Covent Garden - the perfect place for a job in summer time. Once I arrived there, terribly early, I headed across the street to grab a hot chocolate in a cute little cafe name Benugo. Once I had the hot chocolate in my hand, and after allowing my mouth to water over all of the perfect pastries they had, I headed downstairs to their extra seating area. It was the perfect little cave to hide in because it was made up of simplistic chairs, little brick walled booths, low lighting and the perfect little pot plants. What made it even better on this morning, the morning of my interview, was that no one was there. So, I just relaxed. Once 9.45am came around, I walked back upstairs and over to this world renowned company's office. The interview went well, in fact I think I impressed him seeing as my agency called within the next hour and told me I had the job. Now that I knew I had the job, I had to celebrate with a little retail therapy. I ended up buying to new business tops (£7 each), a summery yet canvas like dress (£15), a golden silk top (£14), some stocking, a necklace and well I also bought a book.

The Photographer's Playbook is something I came across in Soho while visiting the five floor book store which goes by the name 'Foyles'. I've had my eye on this book for quite some time, so I'm glad I finally plucked up the courage to buy it so I could use it myself. From now on, you will probably be seeing the final products of what this book gets me to do. I've even roped my roommate, Maddie, into joining me in this quest of photography (she's also a keen photographer so she's very happy to join in). After a long day of interviewing and retail therapy I came home to a few games of cards with one of my housemates, Michael, and a very drunk roommate stumbling in at 2.00am. The next day however, was much more relaxed. The sun was shining, the sky was mostly clear and everyone in London was in a happy mood (even though no one was really impressed by the English football team losing against Uruguay). Because of the perfect weather, my roommate and I decide to take to the roof of the house and eat chocolate while writing letters to the ones closest to us and listening to music. While we were on the roof, we were being circled by a flock of birds who were obviously enjoying the midday sun. After keeping ourselves preoccupied with this flock of birds, we eventually ... or rather Madz eventually wrote one letter while I wrote four. By the time our letters were complete, the sun was slowing fading away therefore we headed on back down towards the kitchen and made Turkey Fajitas while watching a movie (White House Down).
It's been the most perfectly sunny weekend so far, hopefully Sunday keeps up this fantastic weather. I doubt it really will, because the weather has been on and off lately. I'm a little glad though because I definitely prefer the cold rather than this heat!
